The Schedule of Values is for partial payment invoicing processing only:
1. It is not a schedule of contract unit prices.
2. It is not to be used as any basis for adjustment in the contract sum.
Example: A schedule of values typically will include breakdowns of quantities and unit prices. If it is eventually determined that actual quantities for an item finally total to a number less than that shown on the schedule, the owner cannot adjust the line-item price downward. That kind of treatment is only appropriate where items are clearly part of specific unit price, allowance, or alternate contract price qualifications.
