The focus of this Operations Manual is on project management. The central accounting files of contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, job cost, general ledger, and tax applications are beyond the scope addressed in this book. Discussion of general accounting will be detailed as necessary for comprehensive treatment by the project management function. Accordingly, this section deals with the specific project files only.
Project management files for each project will consist of the following general sections:

  • The Contract Documents
  • The General Project File
  • Duplicate Correspondence File Books
  • Clarifications/Changes Log and Books
  • Subcontractor Summary and Telephone Log
  • Jobsite Subcontractor Performance Summary and Telephone Log
  • Submittal Log
