User settings overview

Functionality has been added to allow users to set some of their user settings from the empower assistant. Accessed from the ‘Help’ menu and also by entering ‘user settings’ in the chat within Microsoft Teams.

Update your time zone

When the user settings card is displayed, there are two fields related to amending your time zone.

New time zone – this field defaults to your current Microsoft Teams time zone which is determined by your Windows time zone settings. For example, in the screenshot above, the user’s current Teams time zone is ‘Europe/London’.

The value in the Your saved time zone is the time zone you currently have saved in your empower assistant settings. To amend your time zone the value in the New time zone field will be saved as your setting.

Update your default legal entity

The Default legal entity field will display the legal entity that the user currently has saved in their settings. Selecting a different legal entity from the drop down and clicking submit will save a new legal entity as their default legal entity setting.
