3.2.10 Settings

The Settings page is available to all users and allows individuals to configure preferences that apply to their own user experience within Empower Time.

User Settings Options

The following configuration options are available on the main settings tab:

  • Number of Weeks: Defines how many timesheet weeks are returned for the user in searches and filters.
  • Allow Timers with Blank Narrative: Enables the creation of timers without requiring a narrative.
  • Create Timer without Prompt: Allows a timer to start immediately without prompting for details.
  • Reset Narrative on Submit: When a pinned timer is submitted as a time entry, the narrative will be cleared/reset.
  • Show Running Timer First: If enabled, active timers move to the top of the list when started.
  • Copy Time Entry with Blank: Determines whether copying a time entry will also copy the hours and comment, or reset them.


Quick Tags Tab


On the second tab of the Settings page, users can maintain their own list of Quick Tags. These tags can be used throughout the application to quickly categorize or annotate time entries.
