3.4.1 Overview
Please note: This is the initial release of Empower Pulse notifications. In future releases, additional functionality such as providing next steps and reminders will be added.
The aim of the notifications is to provide a notification engine through which notifications from different applications across the Empower and Evergreen platforms can be routed to users. The API also provides properties to tag the notifications, giving users information on the priority of each notification.
3.4.2 Microsoft Teams Integration
Alerts will be sent via Microsoft Teams using the user’s activity feed. Clicking on an activity notification will open the Empower Pulse Notifications UI, which has been developed in a consistent design with the Empower Pulse Approvals interface.
3.4.3 UI Interface
When a user clicks on a notification in Microsoft Teams, the notifications panel in Empower Pulse opens on the right-hand side of the page. It displays a grid containing all unread notifications for the current user.
The grid contains the following columns:
- Created Date – the date the notification was created
- Notification Type – e.g., timesheet chase or approval
- Notification Title – the title of the notification
- Source Application – where the notification originated
- Deadline – the date by which the notification should be read or actioned
- Urgency – values: High, Normal, or Low. Icons will display for High and Low; Normal shows no icon.
- Actions – includes a tick icon to mark the notification as read
When a user selects a notification on the right-hand side, additional information will be displayed including:
- Title
- Created Date
- Message
- Tags:
- Urgency
- Direct or Group
- Source Application
- Tag
- Category
- Action Required
Above the grid are metric tiles showing how many notifications the user has not yet marked as read.
Below the metric tiles are tabs that allow users to filter notifications by:
- Unread
- High Urgency
- Overdue
- Read
- All
