Employee

The employee page provides a user the ability to view key HR information from evergreen in Microsoft Teams.

Layout

The employee page is divided into four main areas. At the top of the page are the current user details and the ability to quickly contact their manager via Microsoft Teams. The second section is the quick action button which allows a user to create an annual leave request. This button is located in the top right hand corner of the page.
Next we have the tabs which will be outlined in the following sections of this document. The final section is the key dates section. This section retrieves key dates from the information displayed in the tabs and advises the user of dates that are coming up . The second tab in this area displays a list of public holidays.

Request time off

The request time off button is located in the top right hand corner of the employee page. It allows a user to create a leave request in evergreen from pulse. On clicking the request time off button, a form is displayed which allows the user to select the leave type they would like to submit the request for.
On selecting the leave type the available balances are refreshed below to show the leave available for the selected leave type. Any related reason codes are also refreshed after selecting the leave type. The user can then enter the dates they would like the leave for.
The dates for the selected date range will be displayed below in a table. The user can then select if they would like to take a full day or half day for each date. If the user selects half day the half day definition field will be displayed to allow the user to select first half or second half.
The user can also enter a comment to accompany the leave request, This comment will then be visible to the approver. Once the user is ok with the information they have entered, they can click the submit button to submit the leave request for approval. Alternatively they can click the save as draft button. This will save the request only so that the user can submit in the future when they are ready to submit for approval. Draft requests can be accessed from the leave requests view
