Q43-52: Bridging Therapy Prior to Infusion

*Bridging Therapy
Bridging therapy is any treatment that is given after the leukapheresis, during the period of cell manufacturing, with the goal of controlling the disease until the cellular product is ready to be infused.

Indicate Yes or No if the recipient received any IV chemotherapy as bridging therapy.

Complete Date therapy started, Date therapy stopped, Specify therapy, Specify other therapy to report each line of IV chemotherapy given as bridging therapy by adding an additional instance in FormsNet3^SM.

Question 44: Date therapy started:

Report the date the IV chemotherapy as bridging therapy was first administered.

If the exact date is not known, use the process for reporting partial or unknown dates as described in General Instructions, Guidelines for Completing Forms.

Question 45: Date therapy stopped:

If the IV chemotherapy is being given in cycles, report the date the recipient started the last cycle. Otherwise, report the final administration date for the therapy being reported.

Questions 46-47: Specify therapy

Treatments vary based on protocol. A treatment may consist of a single drug or a combination of drugs. Additionally, the drugs may be administered on one day, over consecutive days, or continuously.

Select all chemotherapy drugs administered in this single line of bridging therapy. If the drug is not listed, select Other therapy and specify the therapy. Report the generic name of the agent, not the name brand.

Question 48: Did the recipient receive any targeted agent as bridging therapy?

Targeted therapy works by stopping or slowing the growth or spread of cancer. Targeted therapies are designed to interfere with, or target, these molecules or the cancer-causing genes that create them.

Indicate Yes or No if the recipient received any targeted therapies as bridging therapy.

Questions 49-50: Specify targeted therapies

Select all targeted therapy agents administered as bridging therapy, regardless of the number of lines of bridging therapy. If the therapy is not listed, select Other targeted therapy and specify the targeted therapy. Report the generic name of the agent, not the name brand.

Question 51: Did the recipient undergo radiation?

Indicate Yes or No if the recipient received radiation as bridging therapy.

Question 52: Did the recipient undergo surgery?

Indicate Yes or No if the recipient underwent surgery as bridging therapy.
