Timing of Investigation

As the need for an investigator may arise on short notice, it is prudent for the employer to keep a list of experienced investigators who can be accessed as required. Ordinarily, the employer will want to communicate to the parties involved the facts of the investigation, the identity of the investigator and the investigator’s credentials, that their cooperation and statements shall be required, and the expected timing of the commencement of the investigation process and its findings.
