  1. In the employee field the colleague’s name which should be signed at the bottom of the letter can be entered. The default found here is the name of whoever is logged in.
  2. Now enter a contact and if applicable a project.
  3. Choose a template.
  4. Now enter a subject.
  5. Click on “Create letter” to create the letter. Your default word processor will be opened depending on your computer’s settings.

RDAV” allows letters to be directly edited and saved through BaseNet.

This option is only available for computers running on the Microsoft Windows or Mac OS-X operating systems. Click here for more information on making changes to your RDAV settings.

When for whatever reason you are not able to make use of RDAV, the second tab, “download/ upload”, can be used. The letter is then first downloaded locally onto your computer’s hard drive. In order for your saved changes to take effect in BaseNet, the file has to first be uploaded back onto BaseNet. This is done from the same “download/ upload” tab by browsing the same file which was downloaded and uploading it. This will override the previous version.

BaseNet accounts are by default not enabled to use RDAV because of the particular nature of this applet, which requires prior explanation. When choosing to opt for a default use of RDAV the option can be activated in System Settings.
