7.1.8. HDOP

HDOP is a commonly used parameter to analyze signal quality of a GNSS. Its value reflects how widespread in the celestial dome is the satellite constellation currently visible by the system. The more spread, the better system precision, and the lower HDOP value.
The HDOP values considered optimal are below 1.0.
