The GeoNave system monitor has a set of 22 high brightness LEDs, 4 green (central), 6 yellow, 6 orange and 6 red, which form the agricultural navigation system lightbar.
The lightbar is used to guide the agricultural machine navigation on the guides. The operator’s objective when observing the lightbar is to turn the machine’s steering wheel in the direction indicated by the LEDs and with the intensity based in the number of LEDs that are turned on in this direction.
The image below shows the LEDs lightbar in the GeoNave display housing.
In this other image below, an example of straight line navigation is shown. The deviation from the guide is 80 cm to the right. In this way, the lightbar guides the user to turn the steering wheel a little to the left, to correct the deviation smoothly. The symbol “<” represents the same direction indicated by the lightbar therefore to the left of the deviation value.
Another example shown in the image below illustrates the lightbar for a large deviation from the guide. You can see that all LEDs on the right of the lightbar are turned on, indicating that the operator must turn the steering wheel all the way in this direction.
When the autopilot license is active, the lightbar is also used to indicate the autopilot status when is engaged. In addition to the agricultural machine’s triangle turning green, the lightbar assume the configuration shown in the following image.
