Guides are extremely important components for the execution of agricultural operations. They define the path that the machine must follow during application, so that the entire field area is treated, with minimal overlaps and lack of application.

Use Guide menu

On the Settings during navigation menu, accessed by the button , if there is no active guide on the map the item Guide Pattern will show the currently selected pattern. If any guide is loaded on the map, the same item will be displayed with the label Guide and its value is presented with the following structure Guide N – Pattern, where N represents the sequential number of guide creation and Pattern is one of the values ​​listed in the topic Guide Pattern.
Selecting the Guide Pattern/Guide item and pressing the edit button , the Use Guide Vertical menu will be displayed containing three areas, as shown in the following image.

Open Guide

In the Open Guide area, a File list will be displayed, containing the guides already created for the field that is currently open in navigation. The name of the guide is shown in the left column of the table, with structure Guide N – Pattern, where N represents the sequential number of guide creation, and Pattern is the guide pattern listed in the topic Guide Pattern. The right column shows date and time of guide creation. In the file data description area are presented various information regarding the guide, such as its name, type, coordinates of points A and B, date and time of creation, and the distance between points A and B. The following image shows an example of the Open Guide screen.

Selecting any of the listed guides and pressing the confirm button , the guide will be loaded and used on the navigation screen.

Create New Guide

When choosing the Create New Guide area, Guide Pattern screen will be displayed to select which guide model the user wants to create in the field that is being used.

1) Create Straight Guide
Selecting Straight and pressing the confirm button , the Create Straight Guide screen is presented, with three options for creating the guide, as shown in the image below.

a) Drive to Points A/B
When selecting this option and pressing the confirm button , the guide will be restarted on the navigation screen. The point A button will be available, and the user must follow the procedure shown in the Marking Straight Guide Points topic.

b) Enter Point A and Course
If the user has the point A coordinate values ​​at hand – Latitude and Longitude, and also the Course angle value in relation to the north in clockwise direction, the option Enter Point A and Course should be used, as shown in the following image. After filling in the fields and pressing the confirm button , the guide will be created and displayed on the navigation screen.

b) Type Points A and B
This option should be used when the user has the coordinate values from point A and also from point B- Latitude and Longitude, as shown in the image below. After filling in the fields and pressing the confirm button , the new guide will be created and displayed on the navigation screen.

2) Create Curve Guide
When selecting the Curve guide pattern and pressing the confirm button , the guide will be restarted on the navigation screen, and the procedure described in Marking Curve Guide Points must be followed.

3) Create Free Guide
When selecting the Free guide pattern and pressing the confirm button , the guide will be restarted on the navigation screen, and the procedure described in Marking Free Guide Points must be followed.

4) Open Guide Project
When selecting the Project guide pattern and pressing the confirm button , the File list screen will be displayed, containing the Shapefile format guide projects available in the GeoNave internal memory. The selection of the guide project file is shown in Select Guide Design.
