The information presented in this chapter is based largely on SPE papers1-3 by Ekseth et al which were the result of a collaborative work on wellbore survey quality control within the SPE Wellbore Positioning Technical Section (SPEWPTS), formerly known as the ISCWSA, to which the reader is referred for further details on this topic.
