(a) The course shall be as detailed in the diagram.
(b) If it is necessary to lay special turning buoys for surf swimming events, then not less than two buoys shall be laid (a minimum distance of 10 metres apart).

Note: The layout of the competition arena, including the beach setup relative to the positioning of the buoys, may be adjusted dependant upon the prevailing surf, sweep, and beach conditions.
