(a) Members competing in U15 Champion First Aid events are required to hold, as a minimum, a current proficient SLSA Surf Rescue Certificate and to have fulfilled all other requirements such as patrol hours etc. as detailed in this Manual and appropriate SLSA policies, bulletins and circulars.
Note 1: U13 aged competitors who turn 13 during a season and gain a proficient SLSA Surf Rescue Certificate are permitted to participate in U15 Champion First Aid events.
Note 2: It is strongly recommended, but not mandatory, for members of teams in the U15 Champion First Aid event to undertake the SLSA Provide First Aid course (or equivalent).
(b) Members competing in U17 to Open age group Champion First Aid events are required to hold as a minimum, a current proficient SLSA Bronze Medallion and/or a current proficient SLSA Provide First Aid Certificate (or equivalent). In addition, all competitors must have fulfilled all other requirements such as patrol hours etc. as detailed in this Manual and appropriate SLSA policies, bulletins, and circulars.
(c) Competitors are not permitted to bring any form of communication devices into the “isolation area”.
Note: Competitors are permitted to wear a watch of a non-electronic communication kind.
