(a) The relevant SLSA authority may appoint a Competition Appeals Panel from officials and/or other persons with the skill and/or experience to consider and determine appeals relating to events being conducted at a competition, where the right to appeal a decision is allowed.

(b) The minimum qualification to be appointed to the Competition Appeals Panel is to hold a SLSA senior officiating qualification or have legal experience, and possess strong technical knowledge across the competition disciplines being conducted. It is also desirable that the Competition Appeals Panel members have extensive experience as either a current or past senior referee and possess demonstrated sound decision making and judgment skills.

(c) From the Competition Appeals Panel, the Appeals Committee Convenor shall, having regard to the nature of the dispute and the skill and/or experience of the members of the Appeals Panel, appoint Appeals Committees of not less than two (2) or more than three (3) persons.
