- Promote and encourage fair play by and through its members.
- Impress upon competitors, coaches, officials, and administrators the need maintain the highest standards of sportsmanship in lifesaving sport
- Ensure that its rules are fair, clearly understood by competitors, coaches, officials, and administrators, and are properly enforced.
- Make every effort to ensure that its rules are applied consistently and impartially.
- Treat all members equally, regardless of their sex, gender identity, intersex status, sexual orientation, age, ability, disability, race, or physical characteristics etc.
- Make all reasonable provision to accommodate inclusive/adaptive competitors provided that there is no competition disadvantage to other competitors in the event being contested.
