Address attributes are part of different entities/entityTypes. The context defines which entity/entityType to use.
Below some examples of use address data in different contexts are presented:
- In case of insuring a company (the company is the risk object) the location of that company is important. Use the address attributes under entity
party, entityTypecompany(OG_ in AFD 1.0). - In case of liability insurance or business damage insurance (the company is the risk object) the location of the company is important, as well. Use the address attributes under entity
party, entityTypecompany(OG_ in AFD 1.0). - In case of insuring a building (the building is the risk object) then use the address attributes under entity
object, entityTypebuilding(BA_ in AFD 1.0).
If multiple address types apply to one entity/entityType, for example home address and postal address, it is possible to use the entityaddressinstead (XA_ in AFD 1.0). Linking different address types to one entity/entityType is currently only available under the entitypartyentityTypepolicyholder(VP_ in AFD 1.0).
The table below shows the most common address attributes.
