5.5. Object

Clusters are grouped functions with the same characteristics and use. The cluster object contains all data with respect to an insured or financed object representing an interest for the owner. An overview of the clusters can be found in the Overview of the API-framework.

The clusters are concentrated around AFD structures. The cluster object is linked to the objectStructure. Thus, a cluster already indicates to a certain extent which data will be communicated. To indicate which data is communicated and to what purpose, an operation and a variant must be selected.

Every type of object is an entity type, for example building or motor vehicle. An overview of all entity types associated with objects is available in AFD 2.0 online.
