API-framework

A short introduction into the API-framework is available in chapter Introduction to all functions.

Structure of the API-framework

The API-framework technical function hierarchy is designed to support a number of clusters. The clusters are grouped into operations. These operations are best viewed as application areas, most of which have a specific AFD structure (see also AFD structures). Within the operations a few variants are defined. By using (multiple) variants the resource of an endpoint can configure different endpoints and possibly connect them to internal processes. You can find an overview of all clusters, operations, variants and endpoints of technical functions in the Overview of all functions.
