Four (4) different levels of time-detail is available in the ROB-EX chart: quarter-hour, hour, week and month.

These settings decides what time-detail level should be selected depending on the number of days shown in the gantt chart. In the above used settings a selection to show 3 days will result in a time-detail in hours. A 60 day selection will result in time-detail on the week level etc.
If selected the length of the operation can be changed by simply pressing and dragging near the start or end of the gantt bar. Note that changing the gantt bar length will cause recalculation of either workload/capacity or operation efficiency, depending on resource setting Modification of duration.
If information box with detail about the move should be shown while dragging a gantt bar with the mouse
If setup and switchover time is colored differently (patterns) from processing time
If enabled always snap when the user moves a gantt bar and releases the left mouse button. If not enabled snap can still be applied on release of the gantt bar by simultaniously pressing the shift key while releasing the left mouse button.
Snap means adjusting the operation start or end time to nearest “rounded” hour/minute value when the user drags the gantt bar while pressing the shift key. If as an example the user moves the gantt bar to start time “07:12” using the mouse, then on releasing the left mouse button ROB-EX will automatically adjust the start time to “07:10”.

Snap to a fixed time will adjust the operation to always start at e.g. 07:00. Alternatively the operation can be adjusted to nearest, 5, 10, 15 minute etc.

The value of “Default when moving bar(s)” can be set on either Start time or End time but not for both at the same time. I.e. if snap to start time, end time is automatically recalculated based on the specified times for setup, workload etc.

Note that similar settings exists for creation of Express orders, also see tab Express order.
