The interface history manager is used on integration clients to inform other ROB-EX Scheduler clients about the current status of the interface between ROB-EX and an external ERP system. In combination with the integration status bar, other clients will be able to quickly discover if the integration client is running properly or not.

  • The server side (the integration client) must be configured to broadcast the status
  • The client-side (other ROB-EX planners and viewers), must be configured to display the status

Client setup

On a normal ROB-EX client the integration status bar must be enabled to be able to see the status from the integration client. The status bar is enabled/disabled via the “Integration” tab in the menu “Function->Settings->General”

Note: the client must be restarted before the status bar will become visible.

Integration status bar

The status bar is shown as part of the regular status bar. The current status of the integration client is visualized as a round icon.

Green – all monitored systems on the integration client are working normally
Yellow – warning messages detected on the integration client
Red – the integration client has detected problems with the interface to ERP or the integration client is currently unreachable.
NB: At the start-up of the client the status bar is red due to the creation of the connection at startup.
When checking the log it will turn GREEN in a normal situation.

A mouse-over shows a description of the status on the current color.

Right-click on the bullet to open the integration client log viewer.

The log viewer shows all the incoming messages received from the integration client.

Double click on a log to see the details.

Server side configuration

On the integration client, the Automation server must be auto started and the interface history manager must be enabled. The interface history manager is enabled/disabled on the “Integration” tab in the menu “Function->Settings->General”.

The port number of the automation server can be changed if necessary.

Note: the integration client must be restarted after changing any of the settings above.
