Zero Ready Clarifications

All New and Existing projects not pursuing I08 – Net Positive Carbon must be designed to be zero ready through strategies such as designating areas for and pre-installing wiring and connections for future EV charging stations and renewable energy systems. Project teams should design for convenient installation of future technologies so that they can be installed as they become economically feasible for the project in question or readily available in the market.

Interior projects must advocate in writing to building owners and operators for the installation of zero-ready strategies.
