ENERGY BASELINE

• Baselining Tools
  • BESS. In order to provide a more accurate and regionally-specific energy baseline, projects in Singapore may use the Building Energy Submission System (BESS) database to establish project-specific energy baselines and energy targets. See Documentation Requirements for additional required documentation.

• Energy Targets
  • The following location-specific alternative energy efficiency targets have been approved for the United Arab Emirates:
    • Hotels + hotel apartments: 174 kWh/m2/year
    • Resorts: 234 kWh/m2/year
    • Schools: 94 kWh/m2/year
    • Malls: 326 kWh/m2/year

EMBODIED CARBON REDUCTION

• Approved Baseline Tools
  • Due to a lack of regional data in EC3, projects in Asia may use baseline data provided in any of the Approved LCA Tools listed in Table 7-1 in lieu of EC3 to provide a more accurate basis for calculating Embodied Carbon Reduction.
