ENERGY BASELINE

• Baselining Tools
  • Minnesota, SB2030. In order to provide a more accurate and regionally-specific energy baseline, projects in Minnesota may use the SB2030 tool to establish project-specific energy baselines and energy targets. See Documentation Requirements for additional required documentation.

• Energy Targets
  • The following location-specific alternative energy efficiency targets have been approved for the United States for office, institutional, multifamily, or single-family residential typologies:
    • ASHRAE climate zones: 0, 1, 2A, 2B, 5A, 5B, 7, or 8: 32 kBTU/ft2/year (101 kWh/m2/year)
    • All other IECC [1] climate zones: 28 kBTU/ft2/year (88 kWh/m2/year)
