Armed Intruders

Get out!

• If there is an accessible escape path, leave immediately.
• Help others escape, if possible, and warn others not to enter unsafe areas.
• Do not attempt to move the wounded.
• Follow police instructions.
• Keep hands visible.

Hide!

If you are unable to leave the premises, find somewhere to hide.

• Call 911 and security if possible
• Lock and/or barricade yourself in a room
• Silence your cell phones to
• If there is no door, hide so you are out of plain sight
• If you are unable to hide, move to a corner to reduce visibility
• Do not pull any fire alarms
• Close all window blinds
• Stay put until the police give you the all-clear
• Follow police instructions

Fight!

Only when necessary and as a last resort attempt to disrupt and/or incapacitate
the active shooter.

• Use aggressive force and yell
• Use anything as a weapon and throw the items at the intruder
• Act as a group to demobilize the intruder
• Commit to your actions
