Guidelines for Placement

• If the student has been working, previously employed by, or has extensive volunteer experience with a community program, they must complete their practicum with another program (Exception: When a student becomes employed through a Seed Position through the practicum interview process)
• The student cannot gain employment in any program where they are doing their practicum prior to 90% completion of practicum requirements. All practicum hours (100%) must be completed in order to pass
• The student cannot end their practicum prior to the end of the semester, regardless of excess hours
• Large community programs with diverse services may hire a student while doing a practicum, as long as it is a different program. This must be approved by the Field Director and Practicum Coordinator

*Note – any exceptions to the above guidelines will be reviewed on an individual basis.

**These guidelines can be adapted in response to exceptional circumstances through consultation with the Field Director and Practicum Coordinator.
