ELCC 2282: Practicum II – Winter Semester – January to April – first year students
Total Hours: Students will have two 8 hour days/week and 2 hour weekly seminars to complete their hours.

Practicum II provides the student opportunities to integrate their understanding of play, development and curriculum with young children in early learning settings. Students will gain experience as co-learners and co-researchers as they document about children’s learning through play and begin to plan accordingly. A strong emphasis on reflective practice and professionalism is encouraged and modelled throughout this practicum, where students explore the values and principles of practice they ascribe to. Students are individually placed with a field mentor and faculty supervisor for this practicum.
Wellness days permitted: Two (2)
Pre-requisites: ELCC 1180 – Fieldwork; and ELCC 1109 – Principles of Development I
Co-requisite: ELCC 2110 – Learning Through Play II
