Capstone Project I and II: CHST 5101 & 5202 – Fall and Winter Semester – final year September – April
Total Hours: Student will have one 8 hour day per week to complete their hours.

Prerequisite(s): CHST 3202 and a grade of C or higher in CHST 3206.
The capstone project will consist of a year-long project based in a community agency or program. A faculty member will lead a group of up to fifteen students in a project including research, leadership and collaboration, program planning and evaluation components.
Agencies will submit a proposal for a specific project to the Coordinator, Practicum and Advising of the Bachelor of Child Studies degree. Once projects have been determined, students will randomly be chosen for the project they will work on for the upcoming year. Students will have one day per week free of classes to work on their projects and will attend a weekly three-hour seminar.
Note: Students are strongly recommended to take CHST 5101 and CHST 5202 consecutively in the same academic year.
FINAL EVALUATIONS
Final evaluations are determined by the outcomes of the individual Capstone projects.
