In Linq ERP, locations are found in multiple places in HRS. An employee must have:

  1. Work location on locations page of Employee Master
  2. Work location on all pay details of a job record
  3. Location on all position details of a job record
  4. The second element of the position number
  • When an employee is hired the location page of their master record should reflect the school building they are assigned to for instructional staff. Department locations are used for other staff
  • That same location number should be entered as work location on their pay detail of their job records.
  • If the employee is assigned as a teacher in one school but coaches in another, that coach job record, pay detail location and position detail location would reflect the school where they coach.

If that employee is later assigned to work in both schools, the location 0012, Districtwide staff is used in:

  1. the work location on the pay details of the job record for that assignment
  2. the location on the position details of the job record for that assignment
  3. the work location on the location page of their master record

**The position number and the locations page do not change unless the employee is transferred to another school.

ALRT Locations – These are automatically updated to the School Messenger. Things to keep in mind:

  1. The system overrides the report each time it is updated and will not add terminated employees. Therefore, there is no need to remove the ALRT from terminated employees.
  2. If an employee is going from a position where school messenger is NOT to call – to a position where school messenger IS to call, then an ALRT location will need to be added. (PT custodian to FT custodian or regular Sub position to Leave Replacement/LT Sub position)
  3. If an employee is going from a position where school messenger IS to call – to a position where school messenger is NOT to call, then the ALRT location will need to be removed. (Example: LT Sub position to regular sub position)
