Before there was alio/linq, card files were created to track an employee’s board approval on their different positions within the school district. Now that there is alio/linq, this card file is no longer needed.

The older card files are located on the file cabinets behind my desk. Newer card files are created as spreadsheets under the “Card File” folder under my google drive. This was updated until 2019. Starting in 2019 and after, you will need to refer to alio/linq for the employee’s position history.

I frequently refer to these card files if we need to locate an employee that has resigned/retired before alio/linq was implemented.

Another use for this card file is to check to see if any employee has worked in the past as a coach or advisor for longevity purposes. This staff member may be entitled to longevity in an advisor position if they have done the position in the past. The years for qualification is based on the MRHDEA contract.

For coaches, if there was a break in service for longer than 5 years, then they do not qualify for longevity for the past service. However, if the break was less than 5 years, then these years would count towards longevity (see MHRDEA contract for clarification).
