In Linq ERP, to enter Experience Codes: COMP, LEA (MHRD experience), NJ (all NJ Public School experience) and T (all NJ & out of NJ public school experience), keep in mind:

  • Data is entered to whole numbers only (this is because of state reporting) 10 month employees, get a full year if hired on or before 2/1. 12 month employees, get a full year if hired on or before 1/1
  • Time spent on a leave of absence does not get deducted from experience years in the Employee Experience. We count all years regardless of time on a leave.
  • If an employee resigns, then gets rehired, time he/she worked in the past position gets added to the current years’ time.
  • Those not in salaried positions are not reported on the state report so it is not necessary to add (for example: substitutes, part-time custodians, part-time bus drivers, etc.)

COMP: Year for Compensated Absences Sick

  • When a person has started, resigned, then was rehired, only enter the years from the rehire date.
  • If an employee has switched positions from different types (i.e., Staff Assistant to Teacher; Bus Driver to Custodian, etc.) then enter only the years in the new position.
  • If an employee has switched positions from the same type (i.e, Grade A secretary to Grade B secretary) then you count the years for both positions.
