5.3.2. Update Grids

Update grids, also known as editable grids, can be accessed and modified—whether by the inclusion of new data or the alteration of existing data. Update grids generally appear in two variations:

1. With Inline Add/Inline Edit Functions
2. With Add/Edit Functions

!Although this distinction is observed in most cases, it is not uncommon for a grid to diversely combine these functions. A grid, for example, can contain both Add and Inline Edit as controls, if required. These types of grid will be explored and explained in more detail later in this manual.
