In certain forms, users are provided access to rich text fields.

Although they function similarly to text fields—in that they also enable users to input alphanumeric characters—rich text fields differ in two fundamental ways:

  1. They allow users to input more information than a text field will typically permit.
  2. They offer users a much wider range of functions and stylings.
    • In these fields, users can insert headings, bulleted/numbered lists, links, block quotes, images, and media files. They can also change text properties, such font style, font size, font colors, text alignment, and text indentation.
      • By selecting the button, users can access the Undo and Redo buttons.
