SHAPE has to be networked with a Hippotizer to output. SHAPE can be networked with multiple Hippotizers to allow for multiple outputs.

To open Network Manager click,
Network Manager (Ctrl+Shift+N)

To see available Hippotizers on the network you have to enable the Network Manager, to do this, Switch the toggle to green to enable the network manager.

Network Manager options:

  • Ignore Hosts – With this enabled, different shape versions will not be able to join this networked project
  • Ignore SHAPE application – With this enabled other SHAPE application instances will not be discovered and added to the network
  • Only discover used hosts – With this enabled, only hosts which have previously been added and saved to this project will be discovered

You will now see all Hippotizers with one or more outputs configured to use SHAPE on the network. Their Node State should say Online.

Click “Add to Group” on the Hippotizers you wish to be part of your project.

Node State now reads Part of this Group.

Output Manager will now show the outputs of the machine you just added for you to patch your virtual projectors to.

If you wish to remove a Hippotizer from the project simply click “Remove from Group”.

Projects that are saved while a Hippotizer is part of the group will automatically add themselves to the group the next time that file is opened and the Network manager is enabled.
