Compositions allow you to composite multiple model and projector outputs into 1 or more compositions. The compostions can then be patched in Output Manager. This feature optimizes the outputs from SHAPE creating a really easy workflow for dealing with complex LED and Screens in a 3D environment. It becomes an even more powerful feature when combined with the Hippotizer source pin that allows you to dynamically change the source of the output.

Here we have 3 LED walls. Each wall has its “Output” property ticked and the correct resolution of the model surface has been entered.

Settings from the Red wall.

To create a new composition: Create-> Compostion

To see your compositions, open the Composition Selector from View->Selectors->Composition

To show the default Composition Layout: Layout-> Composition

When you enter Composition you first need to set the Compositions Resolution.

You then need to add some models or projectors to this composition. To do this press Create in the composition mapping pane.

After creating new mappings you see them appear as a list in the Compositon Mapping Property Panel.
The left hand window shows you how the Model is being sampled.
The right hand window is the composition that will output.
You can see all 3 Compostion Mappings are overlapping.
They need to be positioned ready for outputing.

To move them into position you can use the Out Position Properties or drag them in the interface.

Here is an example how those walls can be arranged in a composition.

This composition can now be patched in output manager.

Here is an example using a Planar texture mapper onto LED and how it can be composited for the output.
