NOTE : To Navagate in SHAPE you need to attach a mouse your machine. Trackpads on laptops are not compatible

To navigate around the 3D scene use the free camera. By default SHAPE opens in free camera view. To view using the free camera,

Right Click in the scene, View, Free Camera (F4).

  • Translate – Hold 1, left mouse click and drag.
  • Zoom – Hold 2, left mouse click and drag. Or use the mouse wheel.
  • Rotate – Hold 3, left mouse click and drag.
  • Focus on selected object – Spacebar (If all objects are unselected it will focus on the whole scene)

To Navigate around 2D views such as those in Warp and Blend you can use exacly the same shortcuts as in 3D.

  • Translate – Hold 1, left mouse click and drag.
  • Zoom – Hold 2, left mouse click and drag. Or use the mouse wheel.
  • Rotate – Hold 3, left mouse click and drag.
  • To Full screen the warp or blend – Spacebar + Click
  • To Full screen and reset rotation – Spacebar + Double Click
TIP: You zoom towards your mouse position and you rotate around where you click.
TIP: With all of these navigation modes a green crosshair appears, this will allow you to return to where your movement began.
