The Implement Sensor parameter is used to configure the installation of the inductive sensor that identifies the implement’s lifting position – if it is lowered or raised. This type of sensor is commonly used in sowing implements, which only when they are lowered cause the seeds to be planted in the path traversed by the tractor. When identifying the implement sensor in the state lowered, the system IsoView automatically triggers the trail, without the need for any action on the part of the user. And, in the same way, when detecting the implement in the state Lifted up, the trail is automatically turned off.

Possible values for the Implement Sensor parameter are shown in the table below.

Value Description
Disabled Implement sensor not connected to system IsoView, and your function is disabled.
Enabled – CX-8 The implement sensor is functional, and connected to the CX-8 connector on the rear face of the Monitor IsoView.
Enabled – CX-9 The implement sensor is functional, and connected to the CX-9 connector on the back of the Monitor IsoView.

Depending on the value of the Implement Sensor parameter, its configuration screen assumes different numbers of lines.

  • Disabled – Only the *Implement Sensor line is displayed, as shown in the following image.

  • Enabled – CX-8 or Enabled CX-9 – In addition to the Implement Sensor line, the Sensor Assembly and Sensor State lines are presented, as shown in the figure below.

The Sensor Mounting subparameter is a setting used to inform the system IsoView the inductive sensor detection logic. for the assembly Normal, when the inductive sensor identifies some metallic surface, the implement is considered as lowered. Now for the assembly inverted, logic works the other way around.

To access the Sensor Assembly subparameter screen, select the item on the Implement Sensor screen and press the edit button , as shown in the figure below.

The Sensor Assembly subparameter screen is then displayed, as shown in the following image..

The third row of the Implement Sensor parameter screen table represents the reading state of the inductive sensor, depending on the chosen assembly. The following table shows the Sensor State value according to the metal surface detection by the inductive sensor, and the sensor mounting configuration..

Sensor Assembly Metal surface detected Sensor State
Normal Not Lifted up
Normal Yes lowered
Inverted Not lowered
Inverted Yes Lifted up
