7.1.12. Latitude

Latitude represents the distance in degrees of a point on the Earth’s surface in relation to the Equator Line, which is the imaginary line that separates the Earth into the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. Latitude has its value varying between -90 (South) and +90 (North) degrees.
