Navigation: From the Setup Entry menu, select the System Settings button. Then click the Vehicle Inspections tab.

Here you can set up how you would like your Vehicle Inspection Sheet to look. This can be accessed from the Recommended Services button found in the Workorder window.

Editing the Inspection Sheet

The inspection sheet resembles a spreadsheet and can be edited to your liking. You may add a new Category, add a new line, delete a line or move lines up and down using each appropriate button.

Settings

  • Create Recommended Services from Red and Yellow Inspection Lines: By default when a category is highlighted as yellow (needs service soon) or Red (needs immediate service), they are added to the recommenced service window where they can be accepted or declined by the customer. This is a very handy tool and typically this default setting is kept as it is. However, if you would like the system to not create these services you can uncheck this box.
  • Print Bulk Inspection Sheets: You can print inspection sheets in bulk here. Otherwise, you can use the checkbox below to have them print whenever a workorder is printed. The advantage of that is that is that they will have the name of the customer and vehicle on them, as well as the workorder number. They can also be printed manually from within the workorder.
  • When sending Declined Services to the Workorder, send First Line Only: When services are declined these are also sent to the workorder, to make it clear that the services were offered. Check this box if you would only like the first line sent. Most shops prefer this to be checked.
  • Don’t Automatically Print the Inspection Sheet with the Final Invoice: If you would not like the inspection sheet to print with the finalized invoice, check this box.
  • Always Print the Mechanic Inspection Sheet with the Workorder: Instead of printing inspection sheets in bulk, you may check this box so that an inspection sheet is only printed when a copy of a workorder is printed.
  • Use Icons rather than Good/OK/Bad: If you would rather icons instead of the wording being used to indicate to the customer what categories are good, ok or bad, you may check this box.
