Navigation: From the Main Menu press the Customer Entry button and navigate to the Sales Tab.

PO # Required

If this is checked, any workorder for this Customer cannot be invoiced without first entering a Customer Order # for that Workorder.

Pay FET

If this Customer pays Federal Excise Tax, leave this checked. Some government agencies are exempt from this tax.

Accept No Checks

If this box is checked, the customer will not be allowed to use a check to pay an invoice at the point of sale.

Mail Postcards/Emails

If this is not checked, no Postcard or Email will ever be automatically generated for this customer. This will also keep the customer from going to the lists of our 3rd Party CRM Providers like DemandForce and CustomerLink, if you choose to use them.

No Automatic Supplies

If you have enabled the setting for Shop Supplies to automatically be added to all workorders you can check this box to make this customer an exception to that setting, and no automatic shop supplies will be added to their workrorders.

Parts/Labor Discount %

Every time a new workorder is generated for this customer, all parts and/or labor items will be discounted by the percentage that you have entered here, unless the sales rep manually changes it in the workorder.

Deposit

This shows how much the customer has paid on a deposit that has not yet been applied to an invoice.

Resale #

This is the state Tax ID number for customers who are not charged sales tax. If the System Settings require it, the customer cannot be invoiced without paying sales tax unless they have a Tax ID.

Resale # Date

Optionally, you can specify the date of the resale number.

Sales Category

Sales Categories are setup in the Sales Category window of the Setup Entry menu. Each Customer must be assigned a Sales Category. In the Sales Categories section of the Daily Report, sales and profit are broken down per Sales Category for the day and the month. For Example, you could monitor your sales by retail, wholesale, government and dealers.

Tax Type

Select the tax rate for this customer. Sales Tax Rates are set up in the Sales Tax Rates section of the Setup Entry window. If the System settings require it, you must enter a Resale # (see above) if the tax rate is zero.

Sales Rep

If this customer normally works with a particular Sales Rep you can assign the representative here. When a new workorder is created, the rep will appear in the top right hand corner of the workorder window, and if the rep is set up for commission he will get commission from the sales, as long as the items are marked as commissionable.

Price Level

By You can change that customer’s price level here. The default price level for new customers depends on their Sales Category, and is set here.

Referred By

You can monitor how well your various advertising methods are doing with the referred by column. In this field you can select or update the way a customer was referred to you. You can also require that this is set for all new customers created in a workorder. This setting is in the W/O tab of System Settings.

Sales Statistics

The remaining information on the Sales tab is for your reference only and cannot be changed.
