Creating Invoice & Line Discounts

Navigation: From the Main Menu select the Inventory Entry button.

Creating a Discount for the Entire Invoice

• Select the New button
• Enter a Size/Item name for this item.
• Enter a catalog code for this item (this must be a unique code to any other item in your inventory).
• Using the drop down box change the Type of this item to Disc Invoice.
• Enter a description (this will be displayed on your workorder and invoice copies).

Item Group:Select an Item group for this discount.
What % of Total Before Tax: You can set a percentage for your discount by entering a number in the
Drop-down box: Use the drop down box to set a rule for this discount like Base on Total Before Tax or Base on Tires Only.
Plus What Dollar Amount? If you’d like to have a flat dollar amount discount you may enter it in this box.
Minimum/Maximum Dollar Amount: If you’re discount is set to a percentage but you’d like to set rules for a minimum and maximum amount you may set that in these boxes. For example, if you are giving a 10% discount on the total of the invoice for a minimum of $5 but no more than $10 you would enter $5 in the minimum dollar amount box and $10 in the maximum dollar amount box.

Creating a Discount Line

Use this option if you’d like to add a discount to one single line on a workorder you will add the discount line after adding the item you’d like to discount onto a workorder.

• Enter a Size/Item name for this item.
• Enter a catalog code for this item (this must be a unique code to any other item in your inventory).
• Using the drop down box change the Type of this item to Disc Invoice.
• Enter a description (this will be displayed on your workorder and invoice copies).

Item Group: Select an Item group for this discount.
What % of Previous Item: You can set a percentage for your discount by entering a number in the
Plus What Dollar Amount? If you’d like to have a flat dollar amount discount you may enter it in this box.
