Navigation: from the Main Menu, select the blue box that is displaying the current time.

With the Timeclock you can keep track of, edit and run reports on your employees’ punches. Pressing the Clock button will bring up a list of your employees at this location as well as their current status (either punched in or punched out). Before fully using the Timeclock you will want to set it up in the Employee Setup.

Punch In/Out

  • Select your name from the list.
  • Enter the Timeclock Password (This can be different from your login password.)
  • Press the Punch In/Out button.
  • If anyone has sent any messages to you then you will be sent to the Timeclock Message window before going to the Punch In/Out window. Select the message to view in the top half of the window and read the message in the bottom half of the window.

Entering Missed Punches

If a punch was missed on the current day it can be entered in the white box in the top section before pressing the Punch In/Out button. If entering a missed punch on a previous day select that day and enter the last punch in the empty white box.

Send Message

To send a message to one or more employees:

  • Select your name from the list.
  • Enter your Timeclock password (which can be different from you login password).
  • Press the Send Message button.

In the Timeclock Messaging window:

  • Click the checkbox in the Select column of the person or people to receive the message.
  • If the message is not to be delivered right away, change the Deliver On date.
  • Optionally, you can select a department to send the message to, using the drop-down list. This will check or uncheck the appropriate boxes in the list of names.
  • To uncheck all the boxes, press the Clear All button at the top of the window.
  • Enter the message in the white message box, or click Use Special Editor to create a message with special fonts and colors. (NOTE: If you choose an unusual font, that font may not be installed on the other workstations.)
  • Press the Send Message button to send the message to the selected people.

Logging Time Off

To edit or view the list of days off:

  • Select your name from the list
  • Enter your Timeclock password (which can be different from you login password)
  • Press the Time Off button.

If you are a Timeclock Manager, you will be able to edit or view everyone’s Time Off entries by selecting the employees in the list. Otherwise you will only be able to edit or view your own.
Note that you are only viewing Time Off entries beginning with today. To view older entries, change the date in the middle of the window.

To delete the selected entry, press the Delete button. To add a new entry:

  • Press the New button.
  • Select the date range the employee will be off.
  • Select the reason the employee will be off from the drop-down list.
  • Press the Save button. An entry will be created for each day in the selected date range.

Edit Punches

This button is only available if you have logged into AutoFluent as a Timeclock Manager. Before pressing the button, enter the password you used when you logged in to AutoFluent (not your Timeclock password.)

In the Timeclock Punches window, you can review the employees’ punches, approve overrides (manually entered missed punches,) and change punches. You can even create a day full of punches. Each activity is tracked, and the Timeclock Report will show which punches have been overridden, approved and changed.

To only view employees in one Timeclock Department, select the department in the drop-down list. To view punches in a different date range, change the range of dates.
