Navigation: From the Main Menu select Setup Entry and then press the Employees button. Then select the Timeclock Employees tab.

From the Time-clock Setup, you set up the employees that will be using the Time-Clock feature in AutoFluent. You may have salaried employees that are not set up in the Time-Clock, and you may have mechanics who clock in for the day, but never need to log into the system. For this reason, the Time-Clock is accessible on the Main Menu even before anyone logs in.

Creating a New Time-Clock Employee

  • Press the New button.
  • Initials: These will be the initials of the Employee. It can be between 1 and 3 characters long and must be unique for each employee.
  • Name: Enter the full name of the employee.
  • Dept: This represents the time-clock department for this employee. These departments are set in the Timeclock Setup tab. Departments are used to categorize employees in the reports and for assigning a department manager to check and edit punches. A Time-Clock Manager can only edit punches for the employees in their assigned department.
  • Labor Dept: The Labor Department is used for tracking what employees are available for various tasks in the Scheduler. They are setup in the Scheduler Setup tab.
  • Password: Enter in this field the password they will use to punch into the timeclock. It can be up to 15 characters long and it is NOT case-sensitive.
  • Wage: Optionally, you can enter the employees wages. It is used in the Timeclock Report to show gross pay for the period.
  • Overtime after 8/10 hours: Does the employee get overtime after 8 or 10 hours in a day?
  • Holiday Pay: Does the employee get holiday pay?
  • Schedule information: Enter the times this employee normally works. The number of hours fills automatically when you enter the times, but it can be overridden (to allow for lunch breaks). To erase a time press the delete key.
  • When all of the changes have been made press the Save Changes button.
