Q3/4 2017 System Upgrades

These upgrades went live in December, 2017.
As well as some general housekeeping and system performance improvements, the following is list of the main additions and enhancements to ShiftMatch.

Change order of Locations view

A priority function has been added to the Locations edit screen to enable customization of the Location list.
Using the priority function will allow you to order your Locations to your preferred view.

Verification Hours

The hours column on the Staffing> Verification page will now accurately reflect any changes made to the total hours when times are changed via the start and end time dropdowns.

Post-It note notification

An email alert will now be sent to admin when a staff member adds a new post-it note to their profile.
This will ensure that messages added are highlighted for you to increase communicability with your staff through ShiftMatch. Return text = #746

Discretionary Increase to User Limit Hours

This feature allows Management to perform a limited override of Limit Hours caps set on users for the current period.
This can allow a controlled release of additional (or overtime) shift requests.

TODAY button added to Staff Schedule page

The much loved “Today” button has been added to the My Schedule> Schedule page that will take the User straight to today’s date.

When accessing a User’s Schedule, you can now see details of requests that have been sent to that User.

New return texts for Split Shortfalls

New return text fields have been added to ShiftMatch for Split Shortfalls which will facilitate clearer communication of split shortfall details.
To edit the new return text fields go to Settings> Return Text and locate ‘Split Shortfall Pre-book’ (#659) and ‘Split Shortfall Match’ (#572) under the User Shortfall Notices heading.

Additions to User Locations Report

UserLocations.csv Report now shows user status (active or inactive).
It also indicates if a User has opted in or out of that Location.

Additions to User Details Report

Added columns in the User Details report include:
• Preferred name
• All governance items listed in ShiftMatch
• Max Hours that have been set in the staff members profile

Linked and Split icons to show on Unfilled page

Icons for Linked and Split shifts will now appear next to the Shortfall IDs in the Unfilled page.

Gazump via Open Schedule

This exciting new feature will allow internal staff to view filled agency shifts on the open Schedule and accept, once accepted the agency user will be gazumped and the agency will be sent a cancellation email. Normal cancellation time rules will apply.
Internal staff will see agency filled shifts as normal shifts on the open roster.

Additions to Shortfall (aka Vacancy) Details Report

• Requested Grade has been added to the Shortfall Details (aka Vacancy Details) report for improved reporting capabilities.
• Locations that are attached to inactive locations will now be included in the Shortfall Details (aka Vacancy Details) report.

Gazump Shortfalls to reflect cancellations

All Gazumped shortfalls will now be recorded as a cancellation, showing as overwritten. This allows for more accurate cancellation data and reporting.

Addition to Rural Shortfall Details Report

The Rural Shortfall Details Report will now reflect if the shortfall has been released to agency.

Level 2 Location Selection

You can now choose and allocate Level 2 Locations (and their subordinate Level 3 and 4 Locations) via the People > Locations page.

Any Shift Default

When staff add availability, the “Any Shift” option can now be ticked as a default.

Hard Decline Option online

A user can now hard decline a shift request online.
After a hard decline, no further resends for that shift will be sent to that user.

Agency specific information added to Shortfall

Agency specific notes can now be added to a shortfall to communicate information to agencies.
All agencies that are referred the shortfall will be able to view the information in the new “Agency Information” section.
The notes can be viewed by agencies when logging into the interface and also passed across the bridge.

If a shortfall does have an agency note attached to it, a speech bubble will appear on the agency request page next to the shortfall ID.

“Add to Calendar” return text

A new return text has been added that enables the information that is added to a users calendar to be edited.
To edit this return text go to Settings> Return text> “calendar Info” (791) located under the User Notices heading.

Browser Support Update

Early in 2016, Microsoft announced that support for older versions of Internet Explorer will end for IE8, IE9 and IE10 would end with no more security patches or updates being provided
Accordingly, from July 1, 2018, ShiftMatch will no longer be supported on IE8 & IE9. ShiftMatch will continue to operate on these older, insecure browsers, but all future development to the system will be designed to work on newer browsers and will not take into account the functional limitations old these older browsers.
