Worker Integration

This feature is introduced to integrate the workers (Employees/Contractor) created in D365 Finance to Project Operation. The standard functionality of worker creation in D365 Finance is synchronized with Project Operations. The worker created in D365 Finance must be associated with a primary email address and a user must be created in ProjOps with this email address for the bookable resource to be created in ProjOps. Parameter field is introduced in ProjOps which controls the automatic creation of bookable resources.

2.1 Bookable resource parameter in D365 ProjOps

A new parameter field is introduced in evergreen parameters, which controls the automatic bookable resource process in ProjOps. If this parameter is set to Yes, the process is automated. If the parameter is set to No, then workers are created in Worker form. Users can use the ‘Create or update resource’ button in the Workers form to create the bookable resource manually.

2.2 Workers form in D365 Project Operations

This form acts as an intermediate form that displays the worker-related information like Name, Worker ID, contact information, Status, Financial dimension, etc., of the worker created in F&O. There is an option to manually create or update any bookable resource information.

2.3 ‘’Is F&O worker’’ field on Resource card

A new field is introduced on the Resources master form which indicates if the bookable resources are created via F&O. If set to Yes, then indicates that the user is created by the integration process from F&O. If set to No, indicates that the user is created manually.

2.4 Security roles

The below roles must be added to the user and the respective Team, to enable access the functionality:
• evergreen standalone maintain
• evergreen standalone view
• evergreen integrated maintain
• evergreen integrated view
• Dual write runtime user
• Dual write app user
