This feature allows project managers to define most frequently used Project and Project tasks to the project resources. When the bookable resource creates new timesheet entries, the project and task is defaulted automatically on Create Time Entry form, that is defined by the project manager.

A new parameter field is introduced on Project parameters. When this field is set to Yes, the feature will be enabled, and the related buttons/form will be visible.

Settings > Parameters > Default organization unit > Project parameters > Activate resource user default time entry

Projects > Time entries > Favourites:

New button ‘Favourites’ is introduced on Time entries form. A new form is opened when clicked and allow users to create new/edit records.

Fields Description
Bookable resource Resource for which the project and task is defined
Project Define Project – Lists all the active projects
Task Define Task – Lists all active tasks related to the selected project
From date Indicates the date from which the project & the task should be defaulted during time entry
To date Indicates the date till when the project & the task should be defaulted during time entry

Note:

  1. User can create only one record with the unique combination of the above defined fields.
  2. If the project or the task is deactivated, then the related records will be deleted automatically from this form.
  3. Security roles have been introduced to access this form. Users need to have ‘SAG resource favorites’ role to view the button and the form. If a user has system admin role, then this form will be accessible even without ‘SAG resource favorites’ role.

Projects > Time entries > New:

Project and task are automatically defaulted from ‘Favourites’ form if the selected date for time entry falls between the ‘From date’ and ‘To date’ of the record defined in the form.
