South Africa – Black Empowerment statistics on Vendors

Introduction

Broad-based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) is an integration programme launched by the South African government, Businesses are awarded points which they can claim on a BBBEE certificate which entitles them to a greater chance of obtaining private or government contracts.

A localisation is required for evergreen in South Africa. New BBBEE fields will allow businesses the ability to record BBBEE information against the Vendor Master record.

An extension is required against the current data entity – ‘Vendors V2’. This is to allow for the export and import of the BBBEE information against the Vendor Master
