Release Notes

Overview

Integration of Contractor workers from D365 FSCM to Project Operations (Proj Ops) has been enhanced. Contractors created in D365 FSCM are now seamlessly associated with a primary email address and vendor ID to facilitate the creation of bookable resources with the Contract worker type in Proj Ops.

The existing parameter in Proj Ops, which controls the automatic creation of bookable resources, has been expanded to include Contractor integration alongside Bookable resources integration.

Enable Bookable Resources Integration Parameter

The integration parameter enables automatic syncing of Contractor data from D365 FSCM to Proj Ops. Based on the Contractor’s legal entity in D365 FSCM, default values for Company and Organization are assigned to bookable resources in Proj Ops.

Modifications to Financial dimensions or Contractor names in D365 FSCM trigger automatic synchronization with bookable resources in Proj Ops. Termination or deletion of Contractors in D365 FSCM results in deactivation of corresponding bookable resources in Proj Ops.

Updates to Contractor information when moving to other entities/companies are seamlessly reflected in the associated bookable resources.

Disable Bookable Resources Integration Parameter

When the integration parameter is disabled, manual intervention is required to create and update bookable resources in Proj Ops. With the integration parameter disabled, users can manually select specific records in the worker form and trigger the Create/update bookable resource button to create bookable resources.

Modifications in FSCM necessitate users to trigger the create/update bookable resource button in the worker form for synchronized updates in bookable resources.

Deletion of Contractors in FSCM prompts users to update the bookable resource status to inactive through the worker form in Proj Ops. The highlighted button below, ‘Update inactive resources’ can be used for the same.

Enhanced Views in Worker’s Form

Various views, such as Active workers, Inactive workers, Employees, and Contractors, are now available in the worker form for comprehensive tracking and management.

Warning messages are triggered on the Contractor details page in FSCM when essential information such as Vendor ID or primary email address is missing.
