This video shows user how to:
- Add an improvement to the site plan (which AUTOMATICALLY adds it to the Site Improvements Table)
- Add partial floor adjustment area
- Add Detail Area in an Improvement
- Add text to Site Plan (to further describe sketch)
Improvements MUST be added in the Site Plan in order to show in the Site Improvements. After adding a building to the Site Plan the building will then show up in the Site Improvement list. DO NOT ADD improvements in the Parcel Sketch or Site Improvements tab.
If the user attempts to add a building (and there are no other outbuildings) in the Parcel Sketch tab Edit — Insert — Outbuilding, they will get the following error:

Is it required on the site plan? (From the Residential Appraisal File) Tables — Cost Tables — Miscellaneous Cost
Other place user can look to see if the outbuilding is required on the site plan: From OSU screen — Linked Tables — Site Improvements
The Outbuildings Table will open. User may browse for type. If Required on Site Plan is at the top, the building must be added in the site plan.
Adding Site Improvements to Site Plan Step by Step
Residential Appraisal File — Site Plan Tab
CLICK Edit Button
CLICK Edit Site Plan Button
This will open the Site Plan Module.
This example will add a 60×40×12 Pole Barn with a 20×40 concrete shop area and a lean-to.
CLICK Edit — Insert — Outbuilding
FILL-IN building info
CLICK Draw
RIGHT-CLICK on Site Plan to place the building on sketch
To Add Detail Area
CLICK Edit — Detail Area
FILL-IN Detail Text
CLICK Save
CLICK on sketch to manually draw the area
DRAW by entering the dimensions of the area 40 (down arrow) 20(right arrow) 40 (up arrow)
CLICK close button to close drawing
CLICK to click and drag into place
To add another building
ADD Lean-to by Edit — Insert Outbuilding (same as above)
CLICK Exit button (make sure the two boxes are checked)
CLICK Exit
GO TO Site Improvements tab and review buildings added
Miscellaneous outbuilding information
• When using an outbuilding code that is valued with the unit type of “count”, the frame in the outbuildings will be disabled.
Example: Exterior Lighting EXLT pricing goes off of the number of units, so the frame box will be disabled.
